José Raúl Cepeda

Bio

Jose Raúl is an Assistant Professor of the Criminal Justice Program at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, Ponce-Campus, where he offers courses at the bachelor’s and master’s degree levels.

​

Cepeda holds a B.S. degree, a Political Science and Sociology concentration, and a “Juris Doctor” from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico (PUCPR). He also has a Professional Certificate as a Mediator from the Institute for Conflict Resolution Faculty of Law of the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico.

José Raúl is an activist for Human Rights and alternative means of transportation, emphasizing cycling. It is also a familiar voice on the issues of crime, violence, and drugs in the media of Puerto Rico, especially in the newspaper El Nuevo Día and several radio programs on broadcasters of the AM band such as WPAB 550, Radio Isla 1340 and Boricua 740.
